Japanese culture has a deep-rooted emphasis on balance, wellness and harmony. Traditional practises like onsen (hot spring bathing) and shiatsu massage focus on restoring physical and mental wellbeing, relaxation and rejuvenation.

This has inspired a treatment to prioritise self-care, scalp health, stress relief and a soothing ritual to encourage hair growth.

From the age of 35, peri-menopause and menopause symptoms can result from the body producing less oestrogen and collagen. This means thinner hair and less growth for many people.

How often do you exfoliate your scalp? Dead skin, dryness, excess oil, product buildup and bad circulation can impact the heath of your scalp which can lead to damaged hair or poor growth.

 

 The typical ‘2 shampoos and a conditioner’ isn’t enough to deep cleanse the skin on your scalp and around the hair follicles. Similar to how a DIY facial at home differs from a salon facial.

PLEASE NOTE: Ideally hair will be left with a leave-in treatment which will show in the hair until the next wash. A hair scrunchie or wrap will be provided when you leave. Hair won’t be wet but may be slightly damp. Feel free to bring a hat or cap. Hair dryer available for rough drying. This is a scalp treatment, not a hair appointment so if you have a hair type that requires specific care, please let me know before.
